Recognizing the surging interest in independent artist book-making and self-publishing, paired with a critical lack of writing about contemporary artist books, Temporary Services (Brett Bloom and Marc Fischer) asked, “Can we briefly stop to think about what people are actually making, in the midst of the sea of small edition and hard to find titles?” The duo turned to friends in the field, asking them to write about five titles from the past five years.
