All That Ever Was, Always Is

by

White's original triptych was installed in the windows of an abandoned home in North Omaha, Nebraska. Each panel represents the character of a woman who grew up in the house. The iconography was formed after White studied documents and materials left behind in each room of the abandoned space. The house was demolished in 2013 after vacant for 10 years. Harkening to White's interest in public art installations, All That Ever Was, Always Is (Candace) offers a channel into an overlooked community in the interest of opening dialogue. This print was created on the occasion of State of the Art at The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
