Artek Aalto Rectangular Dining Table 81B – Birch

An Alvar Aalto design from 1935, the Rectangular Table 81B is a versatile piece of furniture made from Finnish birch wood that has a warm, natural beauty and will age gracefully over time. Like all Aalto designs made by Artek, Table 81B is produced semi-industrially, adhering to strict criteria and a high level of handcraftsmanship. Measuring 29.25h x 47.25w x 29.5”d, the 81B can be used as a dining table that seats up to six people. It can also be used in your workspace as a desk or as a place to display books, objets and plants. The Aalto Rectangular Table 81B is made in Finland from solid birch, chipboard, and honeycomb core. The birch frame is lacquered. Table top surface finishes offered include a lacquered birch, white laminate, and black linoleum. Some assembly required. Both Alvar Aalto and Artek is represented in MoMA’s collection.
