From book concept to design, from editorial and prepress to printing, the film exposes the craft of bookmaking today. Accompanying Gerhard Steidl on travels to artists' studios and galleries�from New York and Mabou, to Doha and Vancouver�Wetzel and Adolph also capture some of the unique characters and collaborations through which Steidl books come into being. Gereon Wetzel and J�rg Adolph are filmmakers whose passion is narrative, feature-length documentary films.
