Shades of a Woman

by

In the book Shades of a woman Guido Argentini began exploring different levels and nuances of the female nature. Shot both in color and black and white the images are telling a story in one single picture, like single frames taken from a movie. Women, photographed in USA, Thailand, Italy and Cuba are still the source of inspiration of Guido Argentini's photographs. Argentini’s aim is that women- the muses who have guided him along his path- up until now- being the subjects of his pictures or even simply those who witness his photos, can identify themselves in these stories. Guido Argentini was born in Florence, Italy. He studied Medicine for three years at the university of Florence. At 23 he decided to turn his passion for photography into a profession and started to shoot fashion and beauty. Since 1990 he has lived in the USA, in Los Angeles. His work has been published by some of the leading magazines in the world such as Marie Claire, Men'sHealth, Panorama, Playboy, Vogue, Max, Maxim and many others.
