SKEW Magazine // Issue 02 (Black Dreams, Futures, & Mutual Support)

by

100 full-color pages of beautiful, radical, queer, visionary Black art that makes the perfect coffee table book or gift! This year’s SKEW Magazine is curated by a team of four talented and inspiring Black artists: Lola Rose Eros (he/she/they); pastelShade (they/he); Karine Fleurima (she/her); and Leslie Foster (he/him). Their chosen curatorial lens is Black Dreams, Futures, & Mutual Support. The magazine is designed by Nikki Pressley and includes contributions from over 50 Black artists. For the first time in Level Ground history, this issue of SKEW is cooperatively owned by the curators, designer, and contributing artists. This means that 100% of proceeds from SKEW sales will go directly to support the more than 50 Black artists who make up this year's SKEW community. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, this year's magazine has expanded to include a printed publication and the SKEW // Digital Hub for online healing and other interactive spaces. This means that with every purchase, not only will you be supporting the artistic and creative labor of 50+ Black artists, you'll also receive exclusive access to the SKEW // Digital Hub – including conversations with the artists plus curated video, audio, and interactive art.
