The Drone Chronicles, 2001–2016

by

A two-volume atlas of commercial and military drones Swiss designer Rob van Leijsen maps the evolution and increasing integration of drones in our society, from America's invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 onwards. The limitless applications of drones and a series of quite extraordinary stories in which they figure are highlighted in this chronicle. The articles derive from different international media outlets, in which ethical and political questions about drone usage are reviewed from a variety of perspectives. All drone models introduced onto the market between 2001 and 2016 are organized by release date and presented along with their technical specifications. With texts by Joerg Bader, Nicolas Nova, and Brice Pauset Edited by Joerg Bader, Centre de la Photographie Genève Designed by Rob van Leijsen Published by Spector Books, 2019 Softcover, 784 pages (2 volumes), 1190 b&w images, 5.75 × 8.25 inches ISBN: 978-3-95-905310-5
