草率簿 BOOK by Taipei Art Book Fair 2022 – FACE 面盆 面紗 面對面

by

This publication features five award-winning artists and recognizes emerging talent from Taiwan. Five judges each selected one creator who participated in the 2022 Taipei Art Book Fair—each creator received a trophy and assistance publishing a zine. Gathered together here, this publication is a celebration of energy, creativity, and Taiwan. The selected artists — CULTU-RE EXPERIMENT, :CYA:, UngCha, otherworm, and Jats — have diverse practices, underlining the interdisciplinary facet of art book fair exhibitors. Their creations extend beyond traditional mediums, exploring textiles, soft sculpture, tattoos, and more. They skillfully integrate visual imagery into daily life, showcasing a bold spirit of experimentation and a deep connection to Taiwan’s local roots. The works, highly praised by TABF's panel of five judges, reflect a robust creative energy and intentionally highlight the cross-disciplinary inspiration threaded through the collection. The five included titles are: A Smile Can Hide the Truth by CULTU-RE EXPERIMENT :CYA: skit book by :CYA: Gaze Into My Naked Body by UngCha PLAY HARD (graphic diary by otherworm) by otherworm Sahara catalogue by Jats Published by Double-Grass International Co., 2023 Softcover in nylon case, 148 pages (five separate volumes, with sewn, folded and stitch bindings), full color, 7 × 10 inches
