24th International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont Catalog

by

This book was published on the occasion of the 24th International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont, France. The festival catalogue is a project in its own right, a printed trace of one of the most important international events for the graphic design community. Chaumont—first the city, and eventually Le Signe, France's National Center for Graphic Design, has assembled and preserved an immense collection of contemporary posters. Every two years, designers from all over the world are invited to participate in the International Poster Competition, which has been organized since 1990. Much more than assembly of images, this publication documents the 2012 edition of the event through numerous outstanding examples of graphic design, from classic posters to contemporary works and competition entries, as well as texts from graphic designers and critics alike. Texts also document programming and other aspects of the 2012 Graphic Design Festival. Edited by Etienne Hervy, Lise Brosseau, and Manuela Dechamps Otamendi Designed by Manuela Dechamps Otamendi Published by the 24th International Poster and Graphic Design Festival, 2013 In French and English ISBN: 978-2-35-017276-7
