Devanthéry & Lamunière: Four Examples

Patrick Devanthery and Ines Lamuniere are among those young Swiss architects who, since the mid-eighties, have made a constant, patient and determined contribution to the fundamental architectural discussion. Their architecture never develops out of rigid aesthetics; it can always be traced back to the specific conditions from which a project evolves. That the Latin element embodied by these two architects should, in the end, lead to sensitive and at the same time intelligently laid-out designs of architectonic volumes, spaces, surfaces, and materializations, is both natural and logical.
