Lilith is a fantasy novel by George MacDonald, first published in 1895. It is considered among the darkest of MacDonald's works, and among the most profound. The story follows Mr. Vane, who discovers a mysterious world where he encounters Lilith, a figure from Jewish mythology, and explores themes of life, death, and redemption.
