Max Bill Watch: Bauhaus Mens Dial (Date)

by

The mechanical wristwatch series that Junghans designed in collaboration with Swiss architect and design legend Max Bill in 1961 is still being produced practically unchanged to this day - from the puristic dial with distinctly rounded numerals conceived especially for this product, to the domes crystal and flat appearance of the case. Minimalistic design with red highlights: the red doors of the Bauhaus building are adopted by the two Bauhaus models in the max bill line – this detail would have immediately caught the attention of Max Bill on his very first visit to Dessau. It is possible to view the mechanical movement of the watch through the windows of the Bauhaus image depicted on the case back. Case: Black stainless steel PVD-coated, Ø 38.0 mm, height 10.0 mm, case back retained by 4 screws with transparent Bauhaus logo Function: Date Glass: Anti-reflective sapphire crystal Dial: Matte black, luminous dots with environmentally-friendly luminous substance, black hands, hour and minute hands with red environmentally-friendly luminous substance, second hand with red tip. Strap: Leather strap with buckle Water Resistance: Resistant up to 5 bar 27/4308.02 max bill Automatic Bauhaus
