Neacademia Type Specimen

by

The specimen of the Neacademia type family (Latin and Cyrillic) by Sergei Egorov belongs to a series of booklets produced by the Czechia's Rosetta Type Foundry. Neacademia is a classical type family inspired by Francesco Griffo da Bologna. The family comprises four optical variants, optimised for specific point sizes, each designed separately – as was traditional in metal type. It is designed for lengthy texts of an appropriate nature such as poetry, literature, and art. This specimen presents technical specs, representative text settings, details, and a colorful palette of possible applications. The specimen also includes a short article on the development of Neacademia. Design by Anna Štepanovská, Kamil Kurzajewski, and William Montrose Published by Rosetta Type Foundry, 2017 Softcover, 24 pages, 2-color offset, 7 × 9.25 inches
