Made from recycled plastic, the Excalibur Brush mimics a medieval jousting lance with a funneled guard that covers your hand to protect it from splashes—while the action of pulling the brush from its stand evokes King Arthur drawing a sword from a stone. The design was praised by the NY Times in 1995 as “High design for a humble object.” The Excalibur Toilet Brush is made by Heller, a manufacturer with work in the Museum’s collection, and its stand measures 16.75h x 4.75”diam., weighing 1.5lbs.
