Riso Swatches & Mode Tests

by

Meant to serve as both an introduction to Risograph printing for artists and designers, and as a sample book for colors that are currently available for use at TXTbooks (Brooklyn, NY), this project is a feet-on-the-ground resource for contemporary Riso printing. The focus is on the out-of-the-box handling of Riso that occurs with different colors, images, and profile settings; this is a base-level reference which assumes that tweaks and proofing can and will occur later in the print process for any given project. Included are sections on “Color Interaction,” “Color Reproduction,” as well as photographic color examples that show nuanced variations between CMYK, Tri-tone profiles, and Duotone channel batching examples. Published by TXTbooks, 2018 Second edition, printed in a limited edition of 100 copies 44 pages, prong-fastener binding, Risograph, 5.5 × 8.5 inches
