Sex Work is Work

by

Sex work is work is a photo book that compiles portraits taken by Inmensidades aka Rocío Zabala Saboundji of sex workers, between 2015 and 2025. The photo book has a prologue and an epilogue by mericrismas where she accompanies the photos with some reflections about sex work.Immensidades portrays, from a close look, desire and eroticism as an instrument of power in the hands of its workers in a capitalist world. This book is an ode of support to the collective of sex workers at the same time that it strongly criticizes the work itself: the book closes with the phrase if something must be abolished, capitalism must be abolished. The book is made by sex workers for sex workers.
