What began in 1986 as a small circle of avid fans of constructive-concrete art, has since grown into a museum with an impressive collection. Today, the Haus Konstruktiv can name over 900 works as its own, including around 100 new additions just in the past five years. The Thinking Outside the Box volume on the collection is more than a mere continuation of the already out-of-stock 2011 overview Ganz Konkret ; it is a richly illustrated tour of the anniversary exhibition that presents the new acquisitions as well as key figures in constructive-concrete art. Contemporary guest interventions by Olaf Breuning, Claudia Comte, Martin Creed, Sylvie Fleury, Christian Jankowski, Yves Netzhammer, Nedko Solakov, and Martin Walde provide new commentary on the collection in a way that is as humorous as it is subversive. With works by: Saâdane Afif, Ian Anüll, Andrew Bick, Carlos Bunga, Claudia Comte, Philippe Decrauzat, Raphael Hefti, Rodrigo Hernández, Joseph Kosuth, Jill Magid, Haroon Mirza, Vera Molnar, Thomas Moor, Sadie Murdoch, Tobias Putrih, Bernd Ribbeck, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Carissa Rodriguez, Kilian Rüthemann, Dominik Stauch, Jürg Stäuble, Ulla von Brandenburg Exhibition: Museum Haus Konstruktiv, Zurich 2.6.–4.9.2016
