Where we are

2manybooks started as a personal problem: years of collecting, and no good way to catalog what we owned when it suddenly mattered. That urgency became a product. We have been shipping every week since, listening to collectors, indie shops, and friends who live inside stacks of books the way other people live inside playlists.

As of writing, the company has grown to nearly 2,000 users and more than 150,000 cataloged books. Those numbers are not a victory lap. They are proof that people will trust a platform with the quiet, physical things they care about, if the product respects the object.

Bootstrapped, then backed

We bootstrapped the first phase ourselves: design, engineering, catalog work, and the unglamorous glue that turns a prototype into something people open every day. That chapter taught us what to keep, what to cut, and how fast collectors notice when a cover is wrong or a price feels off.

We have now taken on capital from investors who believe in the vision, not as a shortcut past the craft, but as fuel to move faster on the hard parts: enrichment quality, fair pricing signal, and tools that work for a single collector as well as a working bookstore.

What we are sprinting toward

Our north star is simple: become the best source for books, and the umbrella one-stop shop for bookstores of every size.

Collectors should open 2manybooks and feel oriented. Shops should feel equipped. The catalog should get sharper every week. That is the company we are building, and this pre-seed is how we accelerate it.

Thank you to everyone who has cataloged a shelf, flagged a bad cover, listed a copy, or simply told us what still felt broken. We are listening, and building.
