Joseph Beuys

Joseph Beuys was a German artist, teacher, and art theorist whose work explored themes of humanism and sociology. A member of the Fluxus movement, he was a key figure in the development of performance art, which he referred to as Kunst Aktionen. He also co-founded the Free International University for Creativity & Interdisciplinary Research and established organizations focused on direct democracy and animal rights.
