Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie was an English author celebrated for her 66 detective novels and 14 short-story collections. Best known for creating iconic characters such as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, she remains a definitive figure in the mystery genre. Born in Torquay, she began her writing career while working as a nurse during the First World War, eventually publishing her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in 1920.
