Anna Maria Ortese
Anna Maria Ortese (1914–1998) was an Italian writer, journalist, and poet whose diverse body of work includes novels, short stories, and travel writing. After the release of her debut book in 1937, she earned several prestigious literary honors, including the Viareggio, Strega, and Fiuggi prizes. Throughout her life, she resided in various Italian cities, including Naples, Milan, Rome, and Rapallo, where she spent her final two decades.
