Apuleius Apuleio

Apuleius was a 2nd-century Numidian Latin-language prose writer, rhetorician, and Platonist philosopher. Born in Madauros, he studied in Athens and traveled extensively throughout Italy, Asia Minor, and Egypt. He is well known for his published defense speech, the Apologia, which he delivered after being accused of using magic to court a wealthy widow.
