Aristophanes
Aristophanes was an ancient Greek vase painter known for his work in the Attic red-figure style. Three signed pieces exist, including bowls produced by the potter Erginos and a krater fragment. His style is defined by carefully drawn lines and an emphasis on lively figures, though his depictions of hair and garments can appear artificial. His designs have also been noted for their early academic use of non-convex polygons.
