Arthur C. Clarke
Sir Arthur Charles Clarke was a British science fiction writer, futurist, inventor, and undersea explorer. A prolific author of both fiction and non-fiction, he is widely recognized for co-writing the screenplay for the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout his career, he received the UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the popularization of science, as well as multiple Hugo and Nebula awards for his contributions to literature.
