Malick Sidibe
Malick Sidibé was a Malian photographer known for his black-and-white studies of popular culture in 1960s Bamako. His career gained global recognition following his first international exhibition in 1994. Throughout his life, he received numerous honors, including the Hasselblad Award in 2003 and a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2007 Venice Biennale.
