Masahisa Fukase

Masahisa Fukase was a Japanese photographer recognized for his intimate depictions of domestic life and his frequent visits to his family's studio in Hokkaido. He is most widely known for his 1986 photo book Ravens, a work later selected by the British Journal of Photography as the best photo book published between 1986 and 2009. His practice remains a significant contribution to the fields of portrait and fine-art photography.
