Bernard Berenson

Bernard Berenson (1865–1959) was an American art historian and critic who specialized in Renaissance painting. He achieved international success with his publication The Drawings of the Florentine Painters. It is widely believed that his wife, Mary Berenson, contributed significantly to the writing of his works.
