Beth Richie

Beth E. Richie is a professor of African American Studies, Sociology, Gender and Women's Studies, and Criminology, Law, and Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently serves as the head of the Criminology, Law, and Justice Department. Previously, she directed the UIC Institute of Research on Race and Public Policy and acted as a senior adviser to the National Football League Players Association Commission on domestic violence and sexual assault.
