C.D. Payne is an American novelist and screenwriter known for his work in the genre of absurdist fiction. He is most recognized for his series of novels detailing the life of fictional teenager Nick Twisp, collectively known as the Youth in Revolt series or The Journals of Nick Twisp. Born in 1949, Payne continues to be associated with this body of work.
