C. Riley Snorton

C. Riley Snorton is an American scholar, author, and activist specializing in historical perspectives on gender and race, with a focus on Black transgender identities. He is the author of Nobody is Supposed to Know: Black Sexuality on the Down Low and Black on Both Sides: A Racial History of Trans Identity. Currently, he serves as a Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago.
