Cai Guo-qiang

Cai Guo-Qiang is a Chinese installation artist currently based in the United States. His practice is defined by the use of pyrotechnics, frequently incorporating gunpowder and fireworks into his large-scale works. He is widely recognized for his creative contributions to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he designed the event's signature fireworks displays.
