Camillo Sitte

Camillo Sitte (1843–1903) was an Austrian architect, painter, and urban theorist. He is best known for his 1889 publication, The Art of Building Cities, which analyzed traditional European urbanism and the design of public spaces in Italy and Germanic regions. His work remains a significant influence on modern urban planning and land use regulation.
