Catherine Wagner

Catherine Wagner is an American photographer and conceptual artist known for her large-scale, site-specific public installations. Her work explores human systems, order, and the structures of knowledge, and is held in major collections including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. A recipient of the Rome Prize and a Guggenheim Fellowship, she has served as a professor of art at Mills College since 1979.
