Claire Cloninger

Claire Cloninger (1942–2019) was an American songwriter, author, and speaker known for her contributions to contemporary Christian music. She co-wrote hundreds of songs for artists such as B. J. Thomas, Sandi Patty, and Wayne Watson, and authored 18 books, including Making ‘I Do’ Last a Lifetime. Throughout her career, she received six Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association for her work.
