Colin Rowe

Colin Rowe was a British-born, American-naturalized architectural historian, critic, and theoretician who exerted a significant influence on twentieth-century architecture and urbanism. He served as a professor at Cornell University for the majority of his career and taught at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Cambridge. In 1995, he received the Royal Institute of British Architects Gold Medal, and he was posthumously awarded the Athena Medal in 2011.
