Daniel Chirot

Daniel Chirot is an American historian, writer, and academic born in 1942. He serves as the Herbert J. Ellison Professor of Russian and Eurasian Studies at the University of Washington. As a specialist in Russian and Eurasian affairs, he is also the founder of the journal East European Politics and Societies and has authored or edited numerous books and articles throughout his career.
