David Bordwell
David Bordwell was an American film theorist and historian who earned his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1973. He authored over fifteen volumes on cinema, including Narration in the Fiction Film, Ozu and the Poetics of Cinema, Making Meaning, and On the History of Film Style. His extensive body of work remains a foundational contribution to the academic study of film theory and history.
