Deforrest Brown

DeForrest Brown, Jr. is a writer, music and media theorist, and curator who releases electronic music under his own name and the moniker Speaker Music. A representative of the Make Techno Black Again campaign, his writing explores the connections between Black experience in industrialized labor and innovation in electronic music. His work has been featured in publications including Artforum, Triple Canopy, and Mixmag.
