Dennis Lehane is an American author who has published more than a dozen novels. His early work includes a series of mystery novels featuring recurring characters, such as A Drink Before the War. Four of his books have been adapted into feature films, including Mystic River, Shutter Island, Gone Baby Gone, and Live by Night.
