Derek Attridge

Derek Attridge is a South African-born British literary scholar and academic. His research spans literary theory, poetry, Irish fiction, and South African literature. He is best known for his 2004 book, The Singularity of Literature, which received the European Society for the Study of English Book Award in 2006 and was reissued in the Routledge Classics series in 2017.
