Derek Taylor

Derek Taylor was a British journalist, writer, publicist, and record producer. He is best known for his work as a press officer for the Beatles and for managing publicity for California-based bands including the Byrds, the Beach Boys, and the Mamas and the Papas. Taylor was recognized for his innovative promotional campaigns and his contributions to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.
