Elisabeth Young-Bruehl

Elisabeth Young-Bruehl (1946–2011) was an American academic, psychotherapist, and psychoanalyst. A prolific writer, she is best known for her biographies of Hannah Arendt and Anna Freud. Her work earned significant recognition, including the Harcourt Award for her Arendt biography and the Association of American Publishers' prize for The Anatomy of Prejudices. She was also a member of the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and co-founded Caversham Productions.
