Elvira Espejo

Elvira Espejo Ayca is an Indigenous Bolivian artist, weaver, and poet of Aymara and Quechua descent. She served as the director of the National Museum of Ethnography and Folklore in La Paz until 2020. In 2020, she was a joint recipient of the Goethe Medal in recognition of her contributions to international cultural exchange.
