Erica Armstrong Dunbar
Erica Armstrong Dunbar is an American historian and professor at Emory University, formerly holding the Charles and Mary Beard Professorship at Rutgers. Her research focuses on African American women and the antebellum United States. She is the author of A Fragile Freedom and the award-winning book Never Caught: The Washingtons’ Relentless Pursuit of Their Runaway Slave, Ona Judge.
