Esther Holden Averill

Esther Holden Averill (1902–1992) was an American writer, illustrator, editor, and publisher. She is best known for the Cat Club series, a collection of 13 picture books featuring the adventures of Jenny Linsky, a small black cat who wears a signature red scarf.
