Frank Bowling

Frank Bowling is a British painter born in 1934 in British Guiana. He is recognized for his large-scale abstract works, including his Map paintings, which draw from color field painting and lyrical abstraction. A significant figure in post-war British art, he was the first black artist elected to the Royal Academy of Arts.
