Friedrich Hayek

Friedrich August von Hayek (1899–1992) was an Austrian economist, philosopher, and historian associated with the Austrian school of economics. He is recognized for his contributions to political economy and intellectual history, particularly his analysis of how prices communicate information. In 1974, he shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Gunnar Myrdal for his research on money, economic fluctuations, and the interdependence of social and institutional phenomena.
