George Gershwin
George Gershwin was an American composer and pianist whose work bridged the worlds of jazz, popular, and classical music. His extensive catalog includes iconic compositions such as Rhapsody in Blue, An American in Paris, and the opera Porgy and Bess. He also achieved significant success with songs like Swanee and I Got Rhythm, and his musical Of Thee I Sing became the first of its genre to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
