George L. Jackson

George L. Jackson was an American author, activist, and revolutionary. Imprisoned in California from 1960 until his death in 1971, he became a prominent figure in the Black power movement while incarcerated. During his time in prison, he founded the Black Guerrilla Family and authored works documenting his experiences and political ideology.
