Georges Adeagbo

Georges Adéagbo is a Beninese sculptor and conceptual artist born in 1942. Since the early 1970s, he has developed a practice of assemblage, creating installations he describes as a Tribunal of Things. By combining found objects, handwritten texts, and commissioned works, his art challenges Western narratives and explores the boundaries between popular and elite culture, as well as the sacred and the secular.
